The Artefact of Sleep

It’s a visual treat. The lamp comes from the yearning to help your admirer empty his mind before going to sleep as he approaches his natural sleep cycle. Through the light, the motions and the re-reading of the historical form of the hourglass, it snuggles the man inside the terrestrial cycle of night and day. Composed of four modes of light – sunrise, day, nightfall and colours – it mimics Earth itself within the most intimate human environment: the bedroom. And every grain that moves lazily inside the hourglass is thought that fades into the spirit of the beholder. The lamp thus inspires emotions that will be dreamed by its worshiper; Leading you to the dream world quickly, lightly and sweetly. For me, time matters less and more with visual pleasure. The piece is made of injected plastic and blown glass hourglass.
